Overlay_Intro

Introduction

An experimental mobile AR game that uses the gyroscope, accelerator and camera components of the device. The gps component will be also be used but not required.

Interaction will happen through touch input.

Taking screenshots will also be made easier and not dependant on the user’s phone; but this goal is secondary and will only be implemented on a later time.

Goal

The main goal of this project is to get acquainted with the aforementioned components of the device and to see how an appealing game can be made using these.

Pitch

Your phone camera allows you to see overlapping dimensions in cast circular perimeters. In these perimeters different creatures, beings or things roam around you; some of which will be interact-able.

When they exit the perimeter they vanish, when you exit the perimeter (except for your HOME perimeter or upgraded permanent perimeters) the cast orb brakes.

Inspiration

The main inspiration for this project came from Polygon Pictures’s LayereD Project.
